New music venue... Terminal 5 →
Going to see The National tonight. It’s funny, this venue just kind of popped up all of a sudden, but it looks like they’ve got some good shows coming up. Hopefully this will cheer me up a bit.
Sad
My poor dad was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle last night. He has a broken collar bone and a few bruises, but he’ll be alright. I just don’t understand how someone could just drive right into someone. Argh, it makes me so mad when I think about all the careless drivers out there. It’s hard being so far away from my family at a time like this :(

Perspective
Late September/early October marks my favorite time of the year. Fall, of course, but also the return of the New Yorker Festival, a time when my favorite magazine hosts an impressive numbers of events with the writers and artists I admire most. Yes, what began as a solo trip to the festival four years ago has quickly turned into an annual event for me.
