WHAT?! I don’t like this - 10 films?! Really?! My gut reaction to this is that it’s just going to muddy up the pot with some so/so films. I love the Oscars, always have, but this is simply a marketing trick to get more viewers. It disrupts the tradition and honor of what it means to be an Academy Award nominee.

WatchI’m pretty sure I posted this a few months ago, but it’s worth revisiting.
If you haven’t seen this Vice Guide to North Korea on VBS give it a watch. The filmmaker snuck in to document life, if that’s what you want to call it, in creepily controlled North Korea. The visuals remind me of a 1940s war film not real life.
