I’m surprised by this… there are so many stories of within the Occupy movement, but unless you’re on the ground, they’re hard to find. As a New Yorker, I can’t physically get to Occupy Oakland, Austin, Seattle, Asheville, any town U.S.A. I have to rely on local coverage, which eh… doesn’t strike any emotional cords. I want to find these stories myself - anyone have contacts within the Occupy movement?

Not only is Hana one of my favorite people to hang with, work with, talk with, and play board games with, she is also one of my favorite people to cook with!!  Click the photo above to follow her saliva-inducing blog, Talkin’ Snack.

I agree on all four points! I visit Hana’s blog daily - her recipes are simple, delicious and easy for a girl like me who usually does her grocery shopping per meal. I like to keep it fresh.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.”

Steve was among the greatest of American innovators - brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.

With a heavy heart, I stopped by the site of the Twin Towers this evening to remember.

I wasn’t a New Yorker than, but I am now and never felt more connected to this beautiful city.

Beautiful and inspiring.

Constantine Manos’s series American Color is a beautiful example of documentary photography. Every photograph in the series was shot at 1/250 of a second, creating a unique style of portrait.

“It’s a remarkable thought about the moment - that 1/250 of a second, of a minute, of an hour, of a day, of a year, that is gone forever, that you made this image at that precise time - that will never be made again.”
