3 Films, One Director, One Week - You Choose!

It’s time to get more serious about film study. I have an ongoing list of films that I want to see yet I constantly put off viewing of classics or “filmmaker” films to see new ones in the theater - I love docs, as you know.

Anyway, I’m not learning anything by not looking back, so I’m beginning a new film blogging project and I’d like your help.

Each week, I’m going to pick a director and watch 3 films based on your recommendations. I like the idea of focusing on directors at first, but I may switch it up on occasion by focusing on great actors, we’ll see. Anyway, my only rule is that these films have to be ones I’ve never seen before, so I’ll give you a list of films to choose from. I’ll post the selected films on Wednesday and once I’ve watched all three I’ll write up my take, post on Monday and move on to another director. Please feel free to participate with me if you’re interested - I’d love to hear your thoughts and get a real discussion going. 

This week’s director is Oliver Stone for no other reason than I just watched a TV special on him and realized a lot of his films remained on my list.
