Melissa - taken last night on the High Line by moi.
This photo was my first attempt at the Brenizer method, a technique that allows you to achieve a greater depth of field by first taking several focused shots of the subject and then switching to manual focus and shooting around the subject. You then stitch together all the photos, in this case about 40, in Photoshop.
This required a lot more work than one photo normally takes, but I like the effect and will definitely be doing more of these.
