Saturday was the perfect fall day. Only a classic Meg Ryan romantic comedy could have offered up a more quintessential New York autumnal scene, and even then Saturday would have probably topped it.

And because it was such a beautiful day, my friend Janey and I ventured out for what I’ve coined as an “endless walk” - where there’s really no destination and public transit is off limits.  As the sun set we found ourselves in Brooklyn looking across the East River to Manhattan.  I’ve lived here four years, and never once have tired of this view. It always impresses me. As soon as the day turned to night, I walked all the way home and realized I had traveled over ten miles.  ”Endless walk” indeed.
