How To Know If You Know Someone
My friend Katie and I decided to enter Howcast’s emerging filmmakers contest with this little short on how to figure out if that familiar face you think you’ve met before is someone you actually know.
For the record, I have no problem placing faces and names, even if I’ve met you once, I’m pretty good about remembering, but no idea comes without inspiration. Let’s just say I think we all know people who have gone to silly lengths to figure out if the person standing close by is someone they dated, met, kissed, etc.
Thanks to Lauren, Sarah, Sean and Patrick for such stellar performances. As for me, I’m going to stick behind the camera from here on out.
Please vote for our video by “liking” on Howcast.com (you should be able to access it by clicking on this video or this url) as the top ten will be judged and one lucky winner, hopefully Katie and I, will be collecting $2,000 for future projects. Also, you can vote more than once - one time each day until the contest ends.
Also, I will say I learned a lot by doing this small little project. We had no lighting equipment, no sound guy or external mic, just our own creativity, a borrowed camera and Final Cut. This is as basic as you can get, but I loved the process and learned a lot.
