It may be very “un-New York” to offer a place where everyone’s welcome, but the idea to have such a party is also VERY New York. I missed out last night, but I’ve enjoyed several of Nick’s tea parties and they always offer good times, great people, conversation and entertainment. I first heard The Freelance Whales, a band that has quickly become a favorite of mine, at a tea party and so yes, in many ways Nick Gray’s party is culturally significant!
