I Feel It All
“But after hearing “The Reminder” over and over in 2007, in many homes and retail establishments, I found that the songs kept disappearing back into the CD, just like steam. One song stuck hard, though, and is unlikely to leave my all-time playlist: “I Feel It All,” which now has a video. “1 2 3 4,” a lesser song, got a better video, which is widely known as an iPod commercial that has occasioned at least one parody.”
—Sasha Frere-Jones from Going On, a new New Yorker blog.
“I Feel It All” is defintely on my all-time playlist. It was always my favorite from her album. On another note, although somewhat related, my roommate pointed out to me the other day that I often start sentences with, “I feel”…. Well, I suppose that I do. But, that’s only because I *do* feel certain ways about certain circumstances, probably more than I should. I often let my feelings and emotions control what I do or don’t do. It’s just how I am. So, I suppose it’s appropriate that I speak this way… In fact, why is it better to say “I think”? Many people say it when it’s clear they’re not actually thinking. At least when I say “I feel” it’s authentic and real.
