Au revoir 2009

Goodbye to the year that changed my life!

Last January began with a decision that has brought me happiness, gratitude, skills, friendships, tears, doubt, questions, motivation, and all of the above. I often wonder, especially on today of all days, where I would be if the option hadn’t presented itself. Then again it’s a mute point. What matters is it did.

I’m finally beginning to understand that life is about learning to recognize what makes you happy, and more importantly acting on your intentions regardless of how impossible, probable, heavy or light they may seem. This year has been far from perfect, but it’s nice to look back and see my old self knowing I’ve come a long way, yet still have far to go.

I’m really looking forward to twenty ten. I like the sound of it even. I resolve to deliver on a few exciting documentary film projects in the works, master French, travel, take improv 201 at UCB, write more and be open to all sorts of possibilities.
