We’ll be pouring out more coffee than most people serve.

- Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks. From “Starbucks starts serving new ‘everyday’ coffee” - Food Inc.- msnbc.com

This is a brilliant business plan, guys. And so green of you. (via noraleah)

To clarify, Schultz stated that the plan is to dispose of coffee after it has been sitting for 30 mins. What is this all about!?   For the most part, I’ve known Starbucks to be an environmentally responsible company, but the comment above clearly communicates otherwise.  The most recent number I found states that there are currently 15,756 Starbucks around the world - mulitply that number by the gallons and gallons they’re going to be pouring down the drain and that’s a lot of coffee wasted every day, every week, every year. It makes me sick.
