Memory can change the shape of a room; it can change the color of a car. And memories can be distorted. They’re just an interpretation, they’re not a record, and they’re irrelevant if you have the facts.
Leonard Shelby (Guy Pierce) in Memento (2001)
I watched Memento tonight for the first time since its original release. The film is a case study in character development and a good reminder to writers that there are no rules when it comes to storytelling/filmmaking. I enjoyed it just as much tonight as I did years ago, or at least that’s what I recall :)
