Hello there! I’m Erin Crumpacker, a filmmaker in New York City. The line between life and cinema for me is rather blurry. Simply put, I’m a film geek.  I love riddling through auteur filmographies, studying the art and technique of filmmaking, the behind-the-scenes stories, film festivals, and witnessing all of the amazing work being produced within my independent, creative community.

Although my personal work is focused on documentaries, I write a lot about my experiences with all genres on Briefly Noted. I also contribute to The Documentary Group, Bright Wall in a Dark Room and moderate the Chelsea Neighborhoodr.

I’m currently producing Hot Coffee and Pretty Old, two feature-length documentaries to be completed in 2011.  My television credits include production and post-production work on ABC, BBC, Discovery Channel, and MTV productions.
