Do you live in New York? Do you enjoy bookstores? If so, please check out the Housing Works Bookstore in SOHO. It’s beautiful inside and perfect for afternoon browsing. To make it better, all of their proceeds go to Housing Works, a non-profit organization that helps to reduce HIV/AIDS and homelessness in the city. So go to the store, get a cup of coffee from the cafe, sit, and read awhile.

Oh wow, one of my favorite things in life is a good bookstore. I spend more time by far in bookstores than I do at Barney’s, Bloomies, Bergdorf’s or any other retail store - There’s something about being surrounded by books that just feels good, especially on rainy days when accompanied by a friend and a nice hot cup of coffee. Although, I’m hoping the soggy days are behind us for the time being. I’m excited to check this one out! Also, this already gets a big plus in my book (no pun intended) because the proceeds go to a worthy cause.
