lfarm: This is our bike route from yesterday. It took exactly 5 hours with a break for lunch, 2 short repair stops and the occasional photo opportunity. Not bad. It was one of the best days I’ve had in NY. I discovered so many new places I want to go back and visit. Last summer, I biked along the Westside and into Central Park - and I’ll echo Lauren’s remarks- it was a great way to explore the city!  Initially, I was not thrilled at the idea of riding among NYC traffic, but it really wasn’t a big deal. I definitely plan to take another ride around the city before summer’s end!
