I’m not quite sure why, but lately I’ve been on a huge Depeche Mode kick. I go through phases with new wave - sometimes it’s The Cure, other times Talking Heads or New Order. Today it’s Depeche Mode.  Any who, I had a thought - if I was a musical theater person I would create a Broadway hit based entirely on Depeche Mode songs.  Seriously, all the material you’d need is available in Violator - it’s emotional, dramatic, dark and tortured. It might not make the happiest show in town, but it could be amazing.
