I am seriously craving travel. Tonight I looked through old photos, including ones from my European adventures years ago, and made the decision to head over the Atlantic once again and soon.
My dream trip would be South Africa, or really anywhere in Africa, except Sudan - don’t feel compelled to visit super dangerous territory. However, anywhere in Africa is rather expensive and certainly not feasible to do within the next three months… and I really need a getaway, so Europe it is!
This photo was taken in Cinque Terre, Italy two years ago right before I moved to New York. “Prendo un bicchiere di vino rossi” means something along the lines of “I’ll take a red wine.” I used this phrase often, including this moment, and always received a new glass in return. I miss those days of wandering. I’ve rarely traveled since moving to the city and it’s entirely unacceptable. I want to get back to “those days”. Desperately.
