Yesterday was BIG

I worked as an AC on a shoot for College Humor. Can you believe it?! I don’t want to get ahead of myself but at this very moment I’m feeling that I’ve made the right decision with the direction of my life. To be on set observing and actively participating in production felt surreal. I’ve been the girl working at a desk coordinating events and developing marketing campaigns for the past six years. An entirely different world. Yesterday, I found myself in a place I’ve always wanted to be - on set with hard working, creative and talented people who clearly love what they do. This may have been a dream first job for a rookie like me because everyone was just so freaking awesome and open to showing me the ropes. I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Also, to say there was a lot of laughing along the way would be stating the obvious, but I’ll say it anyway. 

I learned so much on day one, particularly that camera/direction is where I want to be. Ah, there’s so much to take in and experience, but I can’t wait to learn more. 

A BIG thanks must go out to Josh who granted me access into his world. It was incredible!
