Ah, I just returned home after spending this gorgeous, but chilly Saturday afternoon and evening watching this year’s Academy Award nominated documentary films.
In partnership with Snag Films, The Paley Center for Media is hosting DocDay, a weekend screening of all Oscar nominated short and feature documentaries.
Today I watched Trouble The Water, The Final Inch, Encounters at the End of the World_, The Conscience of Nhem En and The Witness - From the Balcony of Room 306.
Yeah, I spent a long time on my bum and am now experiencing a major headache, perhaps the result of eye strain, but it was all worth it.
Here’s a link to Sunday’s schedule. I really can’t think of a better way to spend $10, but that’s just me :)
I’ve already seen Man on Wire, but may hit up the other three just so I can thoughtfully fulfill my documentary winners prediction Sunday night.
