This weekend I found myself repeatedly impressed by simple pleasures and left with a constant craving.  It began on the bus ride from Southhampton to the North Fork of Long Island. Unfamiliar with the area, I was distracted by the corn fields, lush vineyards and quaint local farm stands. I couldn’t pull my gaze away that is until the beer drinking and BBQ eating began.

The North Fork Craft Beer, BBQ & Wine festival at Martha Clara Vineyards is where this light-weight quickly transformed into the happy drunk photographer. I roamed around tasting many ambers and dark creamy beers I often pass up at the bar for lighter IPAs. I socialized with strangers, explored the grounds, and played like one of the guys. It was an incredible weekend in many more ways than one.
