I walked into Balducci’s today in utter disbelieve at the non-existent aisles, empty freezers and heavy discounts. As of Sunday, another store bids adieu.
Dear Recession and your crap economy, this time you’ve gone too far! Balducci’s has always been my go to store whenever I just wanted to pick a few delicious groceries on my way home. Now, I’ll have to plan ahead or settle for loathsome, overpriced Gristedes. This sucks.
I know stores are closing everywhere, but don’t all the changes seem more obvious along 14th Street? It’s a much different street today than it was a year ago.
